Proposals from some EU member states for the unilateral adoption of measures differing substantially from those agreed internationally in respect of prevention of air pollution from ships have prompted a group of shipping industry organisations, including IPTA, to send a letter to the Transport and Environment Ministers of the 27 EU member states expressing concern about the impact this increasing trend towards unilateralism might have on the future role of the IMO. |
